We are many things to many people but it all boils down to one simple point: We help UK investors to invest in the stock market with confidence and peace of mind.

We were founded in 2008 are fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This gives our clients maximum protection in a number of areas. We have taken further steps to safeguard our clients' assets by using a third-party, FCA regulated custodian.

Our clients typically fit into three categories:

1. UK investors
2. Between the ages of 50 and 80
3. A minimum portfolio of £100,000 and above

We try not be all things to all people. Our clients choose to use London Stone because they feel they could be seeing more from their investments and they are open to the suggestions we offer.

We take a streamlined, efficient and personal approach at London Stone Securities. Our company is composed of two teams.

The main component is our Investment Committee of FCA regulated investment advisers. Our secondary team consists of consultants such as FCA regulatory compliance consultants and operations professionals.

At London Stone Securities, our view is that no two portfolios are the same.  We adopt a bespoke approach to each of our clients' accounts for one simple reason: no two people are the same. Everyone has different objectives and goals and our job is to help achieve them through investing in the stock market.

We offer 3 main types of service. Execution-only, Advisory and Discretionary (fully managed). Which type of service is right for you depends on how much time and control you wish to spend on your portfolio.

Our investment approach is simple, transparent and focuses on low to medium risk equities. We take a bespoke approach and no two of our client portfolios are the same. 

The most popular strategies we implement are maximising income and protecting/hedging a portfolio against a possible downturn.

We like to work closely with our clients to achieve their investment objectives and so we want our clients to be as informed as possible. We regularly publish educational material, as well as courses and seminars at our London offices.

Of course we have competitors, the majority of them being the big name wealth managers in the UK. However, we have found our own niche in the wealth management industry so we don't lose any sleep. 

Our focus is on proving a bespoke and tailored service to our clients, not a generic fund for all of our clients.

Question 10

Bespoke portfolio management means that no two client portfolios are the same. We want to understand our clients' goals and objectives and from there we will put together a strategy to best achieve those goals. 

Instead of a one size fits all approach that you may find at many of our larger competitors, at London Stone our focus is on close working relationships with our clients. We can alter our strategy if your needs change and you can have as much or as little say over your investments as you wish.

Question 11

We take a simple and transparent approach to our charges. For advisory trades, we charge 1% of the transaction size and if a client is managed on a discretionary basis, there is a 1% annual management charge. Our execution-only charge is £15 per transaction. 

There are no additional adviser, platform or fund charges. 

Question 12

When it comes to investing in the stock market, no guarantees of returns can be made. The returns you will see depend on multiple factors including risk level, market conditions and strategy. 

At London Stone Securities all of our client portfolios are different from each other so we do not have a generic number. However, as a rule we always look to beat the index. 

Question 13

At London Stone Securities we understand the importance of trust and peace of mind. We want our investors to know their hard-earned assets are safe. That is why we do not hold any client assets, we use a third-party FCA regulated custodian. 

This way if the worst were to happen and London Stone were to fold, your assets would be completely safe.

Question 14

Returns are never guaranteed when investing in the stock market and we feel it is important not to mislead investors when explaining the risks of investing. 

That being said, as professional investment managers, it is our job to ensure our clients do not lose money and to do our best to insulate their investments from bumps in the market.

We are lucky to have great working relationships with our clients. We pride ourselves on providing a personalised service with a focus on excellent customer service.

If you are not happy with our advice then we encourage you to speak to your adviser. You can always transfer to an execution-only account or leave London Stone at any time. We do not have any barriers to exit.

We encourage anyone feeling they could be seeing more from their portfolio to have a portfolio review with one of our investment advisers. Our reviews are no-cost and no-obligation. If you like our suggestions then you've just potentially saved yourself time and money. 

If you don't like our findings then there is no cost or downside for you. In fact, there is nothing stopping you from taking our findings and implementing them yourself. 

Question 18

To transfer your portfolio to London Stone Securities the process is simple. The first step is to open an account with us. This requires mandatory anti-money laundering and identification checks. 

If all goes well then the transfer is as simple as completing a transfer form. We will manage the transfer and inform you when the funds land in your London Stone account.
