Most of our clients prefer to follow this type of service as it allows them to gain the full benefit of our research whilst still maintaining full control over their account. It works like this.

You will be assigned your own personal advisory broker, who will work closely with you to understand your investment objectives and what you are hoping to achieve from your portfolio. You decide on how much money you want to invest and your broker will then come to you (by telephone or email) with investment ideas which most closely match your requirements.

Example of an advisory recommendation

If you are interested in a low-medium risk share which pays a good dividend and has exposure to the oil sector, then your broker may suggest to invest in buying into FTSE100 quoted BP or RDSB. Your broker will give you the reasons why this investment might be appropriate to you and most importantly will advise you as to what the optimal price might be for purchasing. The research that will be provided is likely to be a combination of fundamental and technical factors. It will also take into account the overall market conditions and whether the market is under or over-valued and therefore whether you should buy now or wait.

This information is completely free of charge and you can go away and consider your options. When you have decided you simply call your broker and tell him/her whether you wish to go ahead with the suggestion given. If you agree to proceed your broker will execute the transaction on your behalf (at the price given) and at that point you will be charged the commission for the transaction.

If you don’t decide to go ahead with the recommendation

The best thing about this service is that you only pay for the advice that you think is worth paying for. In other words if you don’t agree with the research or you just are not sure, then you simply decline the recommendation and you won’t pay a single penny. We can also promise you that you will be put under no pressure to take the recommendation and we have a robust compliance procedure which safeguards against pressure selling.

Try the ideas for free

Because it costs you nothing to hear the recommendations of your broker, we recommend that you listen to a few ideas but rather than investing in them, just make a note of the prices and see how they perform. In this way you can see how good the research is without committing any funds and without any risk. You can hear as many ideas as you like for free and so you only begin investing if and when you are confident with the knowledge of your broker.

Your broker working for you

In addition to giving individual recommendations your broker is responsible for building a solid investment portfolio within your preferred risk parameters. That means your broker is committed to building a long term relationship with you. Moreover your broker knows that you have the power to decline his/her recommendations and so will obviously working tirelessly to make sure that their research will yield the best results for you.

Portfolio Analysis and Reviews

As part of our service we also perform free portfolio reviews for clients. That means that if you have share portfolios elsewhere which are not performing as you had hoped, we will happily look at your investments and make suggestions as to how you can improve the performance. We will even look at your commission structure to make sure that you are not paying any more than you need to.

When it comes to funds there are often hidden charges which can be hard to spot. With our team of experts we can see straight away what you are really paying and let you know whether you really are getting as good a deal as you think you might be.
